This program provides grants to support overseas projects in training, research, and curriculum development related to modern foreign languages and area studies. It is open to teachers, students, and faculty engaged in these fields. Supported projects may include short-term seminars, curriculum development, group research or study, and advanced intensive language programs.
Duration: 5 weeks to 12 months
Eligibility:
- Teachers in elementary or secondary schools
- Faculty members teaching modern foreign languages or area studies
- Experienced education administrators responsible for planning, conducting, and supervising programs in modern foreign languages or area studies at the elementary, secondary, or post-secondary levels
- Graduate students or juniors/seniors in higher education institutions who are prospective teachers in social sciences, humanities, or foreign languages
