| One of my most distinguishing characteristics is the diversity of experiences I possess being a medical graduate with a flair for the technology. I have an aptitude for research and an interest in public healthcare management. I strongly believe that all these qualities will influence my further studies and research. I am devoted to translational research and the application of basic science and technological innovations to the clinic and the community. My primary research interest is in health disparities among minority/vulnerable populations, particularly the relationship between poverty and infectious diseases. My other interests are related to the use of best available evidence to guide health policy decisions. With my experience in clinical medicine and biomedical research, I intend to become a clinician-scientist working with an interdisciplinary team, and carry out more productive research which has a direct clinical implication and public health impact. |
