Mr. Ved Arya, 1990 Hubert Humphrey Fellow at the Boston University, started SRIJAN (Self-reliant Initiatives through Joint Action) in 1997. Today a leading NGO in India, SRIJAN works for livelihood security of the socio-economically disadvantaged, particularly women, Dalit’s and tribal families across twelve districts in Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka and Rajasthan.

 

In the December, 2014, SRIJAN has been selected as a winner in the ‘Emerging Non-Profit’ category for the ICICI Foundation and CNBC TV18’s Inclusive India Award.
