Vijayalakshmy Subramaniam, 2010-11 Fulbright-Nehru Visiting Lecturer program alumna, kept a full house audience spell bound, with her soulful classical music rendition on 27th April. Subramaniam was performing at the Chithirai Isai Vizha organized by Dwarkalaya, an organization that promotes traditional music, arts and culture in Delhi. Musicians and music lovers from all over the city were in attendance.

Subramaniam is a music teacher and performer based in Chennai, India. During the Fulbright-Nehru tenure, she taught at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.
