Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident.
- Must be a graduate student in good standing at a U.S. institution of higher education and admitted to candidacy in a doctoral program focused on modern foreign languages and area studies when the fellowship begins.
- Must plan to pursue a teaching career in the U.S. after graduation.
- Must possess the necessary language skills to conduct the proposed dissertation research.
