Fulbright Specialist Program

The Fulbright Specialist Program provides year-round opportunities for projects lasting between two to six weeks. This shorter project duration benefits both U.S. academics or professionals who may have limited availability and host institutions that seek expert collaboration on a short-term basis.

Through the program, U.S. academics and professionals can apply their knowledge and expertise across a wide range of activities, including but not limited to:

  • Delivering seminars, training sessions, or workshops
  • Consulting on faculty or workforce development
  • Developing academic or training curricula and materials
  • Lecturing at the undergraduate or graduate level
  • Engaging in strategic or institutional planning
  • Conducting needs assessments or program evaluations

The program is open to both university faculty and highly experienced professionals from various fields, including law, business, the arts, science, and journalism. These individuals are encouraged to leverage their expertise to support host institutions abroad.

Please note: Personal research is not funded by the Fulbright Specialist Program.

Grant Duration: Specialist projects typically last from two to six weeks, with the grant period determined by the host institution. This period includes travel days to and from the host institution as well as weekends.
