EducationUSA is a U.S. Department of State network of over 430 international student advising centers in more than 175 countries and territories. The network promotes U.S. higher education to students around the world by offering accurate, comprehensive, and current information about opportunities to study at accredited postsecondary institutions in the United States. EducationUSA is your official source on U.S. higher education.
In India, the EducationUSA program is offered at six centers across five cities.
The United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF) – the Fulbright Commission in India – administers five of these six advising centers in New Delhi (headquarters), Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Chennai. An additional center in Hyderabad is hosted by the Y-Axis Foundation. Each of the EducationUSA advising centers has a team of seasoned EducationUSA advising staff that supports students in exploring “best-fit” programs and higher educational institutions in the U.S. In addition, these EducationUSA centers offer several free-of-cost in-person and online workshops and specialized information sessions on important components of the application process relevant to U.S. higher education institutions. These include, but are not limited to, shortlisting universities, and researching options, financing higher education in the U.S, completing the application, applying for a student visa and pre-departure preparation.
All EducationUSA centers in India now have a consolidated presence through the official EducationUSA India website. Students can visit
https://educationusa.in to connect with the center of their choice for in-person or virtual advising. Through this website, students can find and register for free information sessions on various specialized topics related to U.S. higher education. The website also provides information and resources on applying to universities in the U.S.
